Israt

Israt is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science and Computer Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, specializing in machine learning, image processing, and data analysis. She holds a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Computer Science and Engineering. Before beginning her Ph.D., she worked as a Lecturer in Computer Science, teaching programming and web technologies. Her fascination with wildlife and its connection to data science led her to join HD lab in Spring 2025, where she explores AI-driven approaches for environmental research. Her work focuses on applying computational methods to analyze ecological patterns, particularly in natural resource management. She is passionate about using technology to enhance conservation efforts and sustainability practices. Her long-term goals include advancing AI applications in data-driven environmental studies and mentoring future computer scientists.
